Silver Jubillee INK
It all happened on the finest dawn of 4th February 2018 at Sacred Heart Provincial House Bangalore when 350 youth from the four South Indian states marched forward to colour silver two days of mega festivities. It was the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Sacred Heart Province of the FMA, in India. The electrifying atmosphere tuned to festivities and VIPs turned in as it was no option to miss. Most Reverend Thomas Antony Vazhapilly the Bishop emeritus of Mysore adorned the presidential chair of the programme. It was under his presidency that Holy Eucharist was celebrated. Rev. Sr. Lucy Rose Ozhukayil, the Visiting General Councilor was the chief guest of the day. Monsignor Jayanathan, from the Archdiocese of Bangalore, represented the Archbishop and the diocese of Bangalore.

Fr. Xavier Emmanuel Manavath the Episcopal Vicar for Religious, in the Archdiocese of Bangalore since 2013, made his presence felt through a motivating speech. Fr. Thonikuzhiyil Jyoice the Salesian Provincial of Bangalore and Fr. Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar the Provincial of Hyderabad Province were there to cheer up the commitment of sisters for the past 25 years; it was all about the dedication for the needy youth around. The highlight of the day after the Holy Eucharist was the cultural programme From Mornese to Bangalore. It spoke not only of the road taken by the FMA in the annals of history but also and mainly of God’s abundant care through years of incessant Grace overflowing. Posting an important milestone in the crossway of life and commitments of the congregation in India, these days of Silver Jubilee celebrations pitched tent in the hearts of people with hopes for better tomorrow and re-affirmations of that YES LORD for years to come.
