PERPETUAL PROFESSION-2024
20th May, 2024 was a memorable day for the Sacred Heart Convent, Provincial House, Bangalore, as Sr. Bulla Sumathi and Sr. Francis Nisha, took their courageous step forward to say yes to the Lord in perpetuity. The celebration commenced at 11:00 am with a beautiful and lively entrance dance performed by the novices, welcoming the two sisters, their parents and the con-celebrants for the Eucharist. The purpose of their commitment to be– “Joyful witnesses of God’s Love to the young” was written in bold letters above the altar communicating to everyone present their future mission. The Holy Eucharist was officiated by Rev. Fr. Kalathikatil Alex SDB, Rector of Vishvadeep Community, Bangalore along with other con-celebrants. During his homily the celebrant emphasized the essentials of our fidelity to God, in our consecrated life especially in times of our failures and despair.
Before the final blessing, the Perpetually Professed sisters gave expression to their love and thanks to various persons who had been instruments and support in their formative journey through life. After few minutes of fraternal greeting and offer of congratulations, everyone gathered in the refectory to felicitate the perpetually professed sisters with a melodious song and cutting of the cake.
