Grandparents day was celebrated in our houses thanking and appreciating the elderly sisters.

The elders of Sacred Heart Convent were felicitated by the community with respect and honour coupled with fun and frolic. The animator and other senior sisters garlanded them as a mark of thanks to all that they have done and are doing in the community. Some sisters, claiming the elders to be their formatters or animators in different communities desired to be photographed with them. The good qualities and specific God given gifts of the elders were recounted by all, making them feel good and happy. As Elijah donned Elisha with his mantle…a sign of passing on his spirit to his successor, the younger ones were asked to receive the shawl from the elders, as a sign of transferring their spirit along with their blessings. We concluded with the gifting of nuts to the elders by the community animator, which they shared with all.
