Junior Sisters Animation
A two-day Renewal programme was held at Auxilium Navajeevana, Guduvanahalli on 10th and 11th of October 2024, marked by a series of spiritually enriching events. The programme, which brought together the 20 young junior sisters of our province, began with the grand welcome to our sisters by the community sisters and girls’ .The inaugural talk was delivered by Mother Provincial Sr. Lucy Rose, who inspired the sisters with her insights on “Creative and Dynamic Fidelity.” Her words were a call to embrace both creativity and faithfulness in community life.
This was followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass and the Sacrament of Confession, presided over by Fr. Joseph Moolakara CMF, providing the sisters an opportunity for spiritual renewal. The day continued with a moving adoration of the Holy Eucharist, animated by Sr. Padmini, creating a deep sense of connection and reflection.
One of the key highlights of the day was the sharing of experiences of community life, which allowed the sisters to reflect on their journey and encourage one another. In the evening, the Sisters and the young girls gathered around a campfire, where Sr. Maria Rajeshwari the superior of the house led the group in an evening of joy, bonding, followed by the goodnight of Mother Provincial.
The second day began with a wonderful prayer service animated by Sr. Maria Rajeshwari on dry stick. The resource person of the day Fr. Antony D’Souza, CMF featured two insightful sessions. He spoke on “Witnessing Jesus in the Digital Age” and explored how Pope Francis embodies this through his dynamic presence as a “Digital Pope.” His sessions provided practical wisdom on maintaining a faithful witness in an increasingly digital world.
The junior sisters expressed a heartfelt expression of gratitude to Rev. Fr. Antony D’Souza, the resource person of the day followed by thanking Mother Provincial Sr. Lucy Rose for her continuous support and guidance, Sr. Teresa Augustine for arranging this programme, the community sisters and the inmates and supporting staff, who made the event possible. It was a time of spiritual growth, learning, and fellowship for our young sisters, leaving them refreshed and inspired for their mission ahead.
