On 24 August, nine candidates were joyfully initiated into the Aspirantate by Rev. Sr. Lucy Rose Ozhukayil, Provincial of the Bangalore Province. It was a significant milestone in their vocational journey, marking the beginning of a new phase of discernment and formation in their response to God’s call.
The occasion was filled with joy and gratitude as the candidates took their first steps towards deepening their relationship with Christ and discovering the beauty of Salesian religious life. The initiation marked the beginning of a journey of prayer, accompaniment, and discernment, helping them grow in faith, maturity, and a spirit of service.
Rev. Sr. Lucy Rose Ozhukayil encouraged the candidates to remain open to God’s guidance, nurture their personal relationship with Jesus, and imbibe the Salesian spirit of joy, simplicity, and loving-kindness. She reminded them of the importance of generosity, availability, and a willingness to serve the young, especially the poor and those most in need.
The community rejoiced in welcoming the nine candidates into the Aspirantate and assured them of its prayers and support. The occasion was a moment of hope and thanksgiving, as the Province continues to accompany young women in their journey of vocational discernment and formation.
